I have been a Client of West Coast Villas since 2004 to present when following a recommendation from a Business Associate I requested that they become involved in my quest to identify and locate a very specific property in which myself and my family could holiday and eventually re-locate to on a more permanent basis.
From the outset I was immediately impressed with the way in which nothing seemed to be too much trouble. From picking us up at the airport on a Sunday evening, taking us to the hotels which they had arranged the accommodation in, multiple viewings of properties in between and general advice on Island life right through to taking us back there when we departed weeks later. This became the norm during many visits from the UK.
Their knowledge of the market was clearly copious based on considerable experience and their contacts within various Organisations and Departments locally and overseas is extraordinary.
Following many visits during which extreme patience was always demonstrated towards our rather demanding requirements, not only did WCV/Sotheby’s find us our dream home but they also guided us through the purchase of two separate commercial beach-front properties, one of which is currently being developed into luxury apartments, the other currently going through the Planning process for a similar development. It was during the early conceptual phases of these that WCV/Sotheby’s really came into their own. They were able to offer meaningful advice and guidance in Town and Country Planning Act matters, layout of apartments, right through to guidance on desirability of finishes internally. Additionally they were of great assistance in the planning of advertisement campaigns and the co-ordination of functions designed to promote these developments.
In the future I intend to employ WCV/Sotheby’s for the full-time management of each development along with the lettings and maintenance supervision thereof.
All in all WCV/Sotheby’s Barbados are as far as I am concerned the nearest thing to a “one stop shop” which covers from A to Z of everything that is required in real estate buying, selling and developing not only in Barbados and the Caribbean but through their wider Sotheby’s network the whole world.

There has been a significant improvement on the service we receive in comparison to our previous property management company. We felt the handover process was handled very well and a number of outstanding issues form our previous company were resolved relatively quickly.
In the 8 months since the changeover WCV have achieved a lot on our behalf. Any issues we have are dealt with efficiently. Much of this is due to our designated property manager, Barbara Bowen.

I have found the level of feedback to be extremely good and the level of communication excellent. In terms of you specifically, although your job was to try and sell me a property, you displayed a great deal of sincerity in what you were doing and no where was too far to go. This augers well in the sense that as it turned out, i did not purchase a property from one of your listings, but any of my colleagues who may be interested in buying something in Barbados, will surely be recommended to you.
